SENATE PASSES CHAIRMAN BAUCUS’ MEASURE TO CUT PROPERTY TAXES

Washington, D.C. – April 10, 2008 - The Senate today overwhelmingly passed housing legislation aimed at helping to stabilize the nation’s housing market. The legislation includes Montana’s senior U.S. Senator Max Baucus’ measure that would cut taxes for all property owners in Montana and across the country.

$400 Property Tax Refund: $95 Million Economic Stimulus to Montana

HELENA, MT – Governor Brian Schweitzer today announced that nearly $95 million dollars has gone back to 235,460 Montana households in the form of the $400 homeowner property tax refund since the program began on August 27.

$85 Million Returned to Montana Homeowners So Far

HELENA, November 2, 2007 — The State of Montana has returned nearly $85 million in property tax refunds to Montana home owners so far, Governor Brian Schweitzer announced today.

Northwest Energy Efficient Manufactured Housing Program (NEEM)/ENERGY STAR

The Montana Department of Environmental Quality is assisting with the promotion of NEEM/ENERGY STAR energy-efficient manufactured homes. NEEM homes may be heated with propane, natural gas or electricity. NEEM/ENERGY STAR homes are certified by the State Energy Offices where they are manufactured; Idaho, Washington, Oregon, or California.

Over $75 Million Returned to Montana Homeowners So Far

HELENA, Oct. 2 - In just five weeks, the State of Montana has issued more than $75 million in property tax refunds to Montana home owners, Governor Brian Schweitzer announced today.

More than $30 Million in Property Tax Refunds Issued to Homeowners

The Montana Department of Revenue has issued about $30.6 million in property tax refunds to 86,720 Montana households, department officials said on Friday.

The Anticipated Processing Times For Property Tax Refund

As of August 30, Montana Department of Revenue have received 56,804 online and 48,000 paper filings. That’s a total of 104,804 filings!
