Kangarloo purchased the 115-year-old Northern Hotel

-

Hassan Kangarloo, a California-based real estate investor, hopes to breathe new life into the historic Northern Hotel by offering a mixture of condominiums for sale and high-end hotel rooms aimed at wealthy travelers.

Kangarloo estimated the renovation will cost between $5 million and $10 million. He said he hopes to have units available for occupancy by the end of the summer .

The Montana Department of Environmental Quality has taken action against Kangarloo on allegations that he violated asbestos regulations in his Guest House Motel project in Livingston. Kangarloo said the work cited by the DEQ was done before he took ownership of the building. He said he’s confident that violations will be dismissed.
