Governor Steve Bullock and Montana Department of Commerce Director Meg O’Leary today announced the award of $281,519 in Big Sky Film grants to support the production of 21 new film and multimedia projects taking place in Montana.

Governor Steve Bullock today released a letter to Congressman Ryan Zinke, Senator Jon Tester, and Senator Steve Daines urging them to support the reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) which is set to expire in September of this year. The LWCF uses royalties from the depletion of offshore oil and gas to create and protect natural areas and water resources across the nation. Bullock encouraged Montana’s federal delegation to join the large bipartisan support behind S. 338 which would permanently reauthorize the LWCF

Governor Bullock and Director O’Leary Announce $4 Million to Enhance Senior Housing in Missoula

Governor Steve Bullock and Montana Department of Commerce Director Meg O’Leary today announced the recent award of $4,035,550 in federal Housing Credits to the Missoula Housing Authority to assist with the rehabilitation of River Ridge Apartments. The River Ridge complex has 70 units available to low-income and disabled seniors. The federal funding is being made available through the Montana Board of Housing

Governor Orders Flags on State Property at half-staff for Trooper David DeLaittre

HELENA, MT - December 6, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Governor Brian Schweitzer has ordered that all flags on property of the State of Montana be flown at half staff on Tuesday, December 7th, 2010, to honor the memory of Montana State Highway Patrol Trooper David DeLaittre. Trooper DeLaittre was killed while on duty on Wednesday, December 1st, 2010. The Governor also encourages all Montanans to fly flags at their homes, schools, public buildings, parks, communities and business at half staff in honor of Trooper DeLaittre.
