Lt. Governor Cooney Celebrates Preservation of Affordable Housing in Manhattan

-

WASHINGTON, D.C. — (RealEstateRama) — Lt. Governor Mike Cooney joined Department of Commerce officials Aug. 25 for a ribbon cutting at the Gallatin Forks Apartments in Manhattan.

These 16-unit apartments have been acquired and rehabilitated to preserve affordable housing for Gallatin County families for the next 46 years through Housing Credits from the Montana Board of Housing.

Syringa Property Management arranged the purchase and improvements, which include an on-site office, community room, laundry room, playground and retrofitting a unit for accessibility.

Without their efforts, this property would have been lost to the families who live here and sold as market-rate condos.
