BOZEMAN, MT – April 16, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — MSU (Montana State University) Extension in Sweet Grass County will offer a backyard greenhouse symposium on April 25 for those interested in extending the growing season. The program will be at the Sweet Grass County Fairgrounds, 78 Fairgrounds Rd., Big Timber.
Topics will include greenhouse layout, design, and materials; fertilizer, water, and soil; insects and diseases; heating, cooling, venting, and lighting; and finally varieties often used in the backyard greenhouse.
Speakers include David Baumbauer, MSU Plant Growth Center Manager, and Toby Day, MSU Extension Horticulture Specialist. The 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. program includes lunch, and the cost is $10.
